Fourth graders consider life in our area before the Age of Exploration.

This part of Westchester was originally inhabited by a Mohegan tribe called the Kitchawanks.  At a recent trip to Teatown Lake Reservation, fourth graders learned about wigwams, the type of dwelling the Kitchawanks used to build right here in Somers!
